Ethan Zuckerman’s fantastic TED talk from July 2010 on the ways in which paradoxically, our new social media has made us more local-focused and less cosmopolitan.
Zuckerman says we live in “filter bubbles” in which strangely, atoms (heavy) are still more mobile than bits. There is a great graphic on the African American/White divide on Twitter.
